Disturbing the web of veins that feed the 1%

The target is the 1%.
The 1% in the USA counts more than 1 million members who live in an exclusive eliteworld. Like the human heart this world is connected to the rest of the body by veins through which the blood streams that feeds the heart. When the blood cannot stream the heart stops ticking. The world of the 1% is by many veins connected to the world of the 99%. When supplies from the world of the 99% to the world of the 1% are disrupted, the eliteworld becomes uninhabitable.
The veins that feed the 1% are the weak points because they are so numerous that they cannot be protected. The web of veins covers the whole world and it can fairly easy be disturbed by many small actions of Autonomous Clubs. Then the 1% cannot disturb us anymore. Without the web the 1% have to descend to our world and we get one world for all people.

To disturb the thin threads of a web you hardly need any violence. The 1% need food and many other things as transport, electronic means of communication, contacts with family, the 1%, servants and many other people, recreation places, materials to build and repair their property etc. Through the veins they control the world. Orders travel from the heart to the limbs and money flows back to the heart. The veins are maintained by the 99%. The 1% only make their hands dirty for counting their money.

Some crows’ feet on the roads to the city will disconnect the 1% from the rest of the world but there are many other ways to cut the roads. The damage to the 99% is minimal because they do not use these roads.
Demanding from the milkman (or another delivery service) to stop delivering goods to the house of a 1% will cause some damage to the milkman but he delivers so much more milk to the 99% that this damage is negligible. He will comply with the request to avoid pressure from the 99%.

When exclusive places a certain 1% visits are time and again disturbed, he will be excluded from these places because other 1% do not want to be disturbed. Flyers make known who is the culprit and he will be isolated from the rest of his world by his own people.
Other veins transport power, water, gas, etc. to the house of the 1%, recreation places have to be maintained, electronic communication must work. The world is so complicated that people cannot live separated from other people. When the veins are plugged up, the 1% cannot continue to live in their exclusive world. Then we get one world in which all people are considered to have the same status. Small creative actions of Autonomous Clubs against the veins of the 1% will be fun and agree with the basic demand that damage to the 99% must be minimised and pressure to the 1% maximised.

About Joost van Steenis

My latest book "How to make Revolution, developing the Fourth People's Power", can be downloaded for free from my site http://members.chello.nl/jsteenis. It contains new ideas how to take the money and power away from the most powerful people, the elite. It strives to get a new society in which not money is the pivotal point of all discussions but the idea that all people have the same status. New action means are introduced to reach this paradigm shift (a revolution) that concentrate on direct actions in the living sphere of the elite.

I want to change the fundamentals of society and you want to make a niche for yourself (and your friends) to have a happy life. I do not disagree with you about doing that but I find that not enough.
Jct: Then you don’t know the rest of what I’ve done. LETS (Local Employment-Trading Software) timebanks are nice niches that provide members a better life. I agree, that’s not enough. But I got to do the speech on the banking system of the new millennium at the United Nations Assembly which passed UNILETS Millennium Declaration C6 for a time-based currency to restructure the global financial architecture. Don’t think I’m not working on the global solution to underfunding. And I don’t believe in force when it can be logically argued.

The cars, the petrol, the building of cities, the transport of food and other things we do want to have, will be still controlled by the 1%. We, the 99%, must get power to force the 1% (or any selfish) leader to change their way of deciding.
Jct: You work on getting power to force the 1%. I’ll work on setting up our own alternative econonic system to coerce the 99% to give up their usury and join the bigger timebank network too. I say cutting their interest stream is key without challenging their power, you want to challenge their power and force them.. Har har har har har har. I think I’ll stick with economic coercion but you go ahead and spent your life working on forcing them…

    • Yes indeed I want to change the fundamentals of society and you want to make a niche for yourself (and your friends) to have a happy life. I do not disagree with you about doing that but I find that not enough. I want more. But we agree that we both want another society.
I had a grand-uncle who was prominent member of the Dutch Commune Walden of the writer Frederik van Eeden about a hundred years ago. All made on the principle that people should work how they could and earn what they needed. It worked for a while but then the big society intruded and after about twenty years the commune collapsed – the paradigm Van Eeden advanced was demolished by the money paradigm that rules the big world. And I have seen more examples of that. So I want to put pressure on the 1% and at the same time advance the idea that money as the pivotal factor in all decisions should be replaced by the idea that all people have the same status.
But I wish you all the best, make the best of it! Joost

The 1% only make their hands dirty for counting their money.
Jct: Business ostracize the rich who have money to buy? Forget it. The real revolution is underground interest-free currencies. When someone texts an email in Kenya transferring 10 cell-phone minutes to his village butcher to give meat to his family, the banksters get no interest. Every timebank transactions costs them vigorish. The real revolution, cutting their dirty money, is onoing.

    • I do not agree John, it is trying to change the dead system while having no attention to living people. It is comparable with forming communes or cooperatives. Laudable and agreeable for the involved people but it does not change the influence of the 1%. The cars, the petrol, the building of cities, the transport of food and other things we do want to have, will be still controlled by the 1%. We, the 99%, must get power to force the 1% (or any selfish) leader to change their way of deciding. The fundamentals of society (now based on money) must change to the idea that all people have the same status. And an autonomous Fourth people’s Power is needed to force leaders to abide by this new paradigm. Otherwise they will become selfish again as has happened for example in the Soviet-Union. This article is underinformed and embryonic. The truth is, everybody does not and cannot have the same status. Not only that, in a recession the only people who are making money are the ones serving the elite, and they will not stop doing it just because of pressure from other people. Flawed.

    • Indeed in the present society people do not have the same status and you say it yourself, ….. only the people who are making money …. That is the basis of our society, thinking of making money and not seeing people. In everything that happens people should look at what happens with other people and not if they themselves get enough money. That is what I say, now everything is decided because of the money factor and that should change in the idea that all people have the same status, the right on a decent life.education, medical care etc.
