The 1% are privately protected and are not directly influenced by wars. They live far away and when the war comes closer, they go to another country. They remain untouched by any war in contradiction to what happens to the 99%. Their private life is very negatively influenced by wars and they cannot do much to get a better situation. In democracies they do not have an independent power to stop wars.
In the Syrian War two hundred thousand 99% lost their life and many millions fled the country to live in refugee camps without much hope on a better future. They live isolated in the lower parts of the power and money pyramid without any possibility to improve their life. The 1% do not listen to them.
The 1% are the only people who can influence the existence of wars. They live in the top of the money pyramid. They gain from wars. They are not interested in the life of common citizens but only in the thickness of their wallets. The 99% are used by the 1% as instruments to change wars in favour of the 1%.
Rebels, fundamentalists, Syrian soldiers but also American soldiers have to fight and often die. They follow the orders from above, from people who never die. Many crimes are committed on orders from above. It seems the 99% are powerless to stop self-destructing wars.
That should change, the 99% should direct some of their energy against people who start and carry on wars, against the 1% who profit. When the 1% is not pressured, wars and much more misery continue to exist and the 1% continue to live their extravagant and very comfortable life.
