13. Leftists and rightists try to get some improvement but never attack the cause of the misery, the 1%.

Activists are an integrated part of the Western society in which money rules, while the 1% live apart, extravagantly and get still more wealth. For change the 1% should constantly be pressured and never be supported

Leftists and rightist organisations fit in our society, they have leaders who hardly can be criticized. Common members have not much to say, the top decides. Private initiative of common members is hardly supported.

During the process to remove the old kind of leadership the new top starts to resemble the old ones. After some years as has been proven by past revolutions  they may replace the old elite but in fact they form a new elite that does not differ much from the old one. Income, wealth and living situation of the new 1% is comparable with that of the removed ones, money again dominates all discussions and decision about what happens with the 99% becomes again secondary.

The old action methods should be changed. Instead demanding solutions for partial problems that are caused by the top there should be some constant pressure on the 1% to force them to change their policy by including the existence of the 99% as people with the same status in their ideas. Not money should stand central but the life of the 99%.

About Joost van Steenis

My latest book "How to make Revolution, developing the Fourth People's Power", can be downloaded for free from my site http://members.chello.nl/jsteenis. It contains new ideas how to take the money and power away from the most powerful people, the elite. It strives to get a new society in which not money is the pivotal point of all discussions but the idea that all people have the same status. New action means are introduced to reach this paradigm shift (a revolution) that concentrate on direct actions in the living sphere of the elite.
