The income of the 1% is very high. But they pay some lower people also a ridiculous lot of money.
A simple example is the movie “The Interview”. The production cost is about 44 million dollars of which 8.4 million is given to Seth Rogan and 6.5 million to James Franco. Together these two people get about a third of the total production costs. Without these ridiculous salaries the prices for us in cinemas will be much lower. The rising inequality will be corrected a little when they get more normal salaries.
The figures about the two mentioned actors were published after the hack by “The Guardians of Peace” of Sony. When also the income of the owners, the 1%, is lowered, prices for common citizens will go down even more and the rising inequality will be combatted.
That will never happen when the 99% do not become active. We should pressure people who have incomes common citizens never can get. In the first place we should undermine the power and the wealth of the 1% who give some people high salaries in order to get themselves even much more.
Because of the high prices our life is disturbed. We should return the gesture and start to disturb the life of those people who want to get even more money than they can spend. The economic crisis has been beneficial to the 1%, when we do not pressure them this will never change.
And still nearly ten million kids die each year before they are five years old because there is not enough money to feed and educate them. The necessary money streams to the 1% and their jet-set and the children die unnecessary.
