18. In all conflicts only the 99% suffer, the 1% only increase their profits

Of course the Islamic State carries out terrible actions against 99% citizens. But other governments who are on “our side” do the same.
Kurds killed many inhabitants who sided with the IS, the government of Iraq does the same. In the Congo and in Mexico many students are killed by government police.
The people who decide, the 1%, are never attacked.

Many common citizens are daily arrested but rich corrupt people are hardly arrested though they selfishly hurt enormously the interests of common citizens.
Why are the owners of Apple allowed to gain more than one quarter of the worth of any apparatus they sell? That money goes to the top of society and common citizens are forced to pay.

The American army uses untouchable drones to kill citizens who may be dangerous. Attacks with planes and drones kill common citizens who cannot defend themselves against that war machinery.

In all wars common citizens are attacked and punished. People on top of society are hardly damaged.
We should fight to get a world in which all people have the same status and stop fighting wars that benefit in the first place the upper layers of society. In decisions the interest of the 99% should stand central and not money or the thickness of wallets of people on top of the power and money pyramid. Many small actions against the 1% who hurt the interests of common citizens will bring change.

About Joost van Steenis

My latest book "How to make Revolution, developing the Fourth People's Power", can be downloaded for free from my site http://members.chello.nl/jsteenis. It contains new ideas how to take the money and power away from the most powerful people, the elite. It strives to get a new society in which not money is the pivotal point of all discussions but the idea that all people have the same status. New action means are introduced to reach this paradigm shift (a revolution) that concentrate on direct actions in the living sphere of the elite.
