39. Rich support rich and never the poor. Therefore we must attack the 1%.

The 1% have most power and money but they still want more. Anything they do supports this idea. Anything they do is in the first place for their own benefit. That should change but I see hardly anyone doing something. The 1% are never attacked.
It does not matter if the 1% are nice people or monsters. Money rules and not the behaviour of the 1% and the 1% get always the biggest benefit while the 99% may only hope for improvements. .

Some years ago there was a revolt in Egypt. There was some fighting between groups of common people and also with the police but the 1% remained untouched. In the end president Mubarak was replaced by a new president, Mursi. Within a year Mursi was removed from power and the military took power, or better said retook power. The military (including Mubarak) are an important part of the Egyptian 1%. They lost some power (but not their money), remained quiet for some time and then retook their power when the 99% became divided.

Mubarak was not a nice man, he ordered many killings. He was even arrested but hardly punished. Mursi and many common citizens wanted a new and better society but many were arrested and sentenced to death. The military started a new cruel regime that is not less cruel than the Mubarak regime.

The Western countries continue s to support military dictators who are closely connected to the 1%. That many 99% are killed and continue to be subordinate is not important. General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the new dictator, was this year invited to come to Germany. He got many economic contracts for example a contract with Siemens for 8 billion euro.

It does not matter if you kill common citizens who want a better society. The only decisive power is the profit the 1% can make. That will never change when common citizens do not attack the 1% and take all their power and money away.

About Joost van Steenis

My latest book "How to make Revolution, developing the Fourth People's Power", can be downloaded for free from my site http://members.chello.nl/jsteenis. It contains new ideas how to take the money and power away from the most powerful people, the elite. It strives to get a new society in which not money is the pivotal point of all discussions but the idea that all people have the same status. New action means are introduced to reach this paradigm shift (a revolution) that concentrate on direct actions in the living sphere of the elite.
