The first rule in any action is that damage to the 99% should be minimal.
Many actions do not comply with this rule. Often actions terminate in fights with the police, in arresting, hurting or even killing people who belong to the 99%. People who rule our society remain untouched, they are hardly influenced by actions. When we want a better society actions should directly undermine the existence of people who decide.
In the Arab countries the 1% continue the stream of money to their pockets by supporting harsh dictatorial regimes. Sometimes they use their army to chase away leaders as Muammar Gadhafi, Saddam Hussein or Bashar-el-Assad. When people from these countries try to go to Europe activities are directed on the refugees or against groups in the 99% who have a different idea of what should happen with refugees.
Nothing is done against the cause why millions of 99% are entering our countries. That cause is the existence of a ruling 1% but actions against them are very rare. The1% continue to rule and amass money and power.
Most actions remain within the borders of the present society. The 1% live above that society and get still more money and power to strengthen their grip on people who are not 1%. For real change the 1% should be attacked.
The second rule in any action should be that pressure on the 1% should be maximal.
It is easier to demonstrate or even to fight rightist 99% then to carry out actions against the 1%. Leftist actions are hardly against the super-rich. The old slogan that actions should be against capitalists disappeared and was replaced by vague ideas about capitalist societies that are hardly pressured by the present kind of actions. The power over these huge societies remains in the hands of the owners, the super-rich ruling 1%.
Revolution and thus another kind of society is not possible when the money and power of these people is not taken away. We should undertake a different kind of actions against different subjects, actions that do not hurt the 99% but undermine the power and the money of the 1%.
