During the French Revolution the ideas of the revolutionary Jean-Paul Marat were not used and the 1% retook power and money. Many 99% died during the Revolution and many more in the wars that were carried out by Napoleon in the whole of Europe. The 1% profited.
I still see hardly any pressure on the 1% and their political, industrial, financial, military etc. servants who rule the world in the first place for their own benefit. The cruel greed of the top is even intensifying.
In actions the 1% is hardly disturbed and the 99% do not develop any power to control people at the top of the world. That is true for leftist as well as rightist activists who prefer to fight each other in mostly unsuccessful actions.
In the refugee crisis there is no attention at all for the powerful 1% who caused the crisis by their selfish, economic and military policy. Only the 99% suffer and activists increased this suffering. All societies are ruled by a 1% and the 99% have hardly power.
We should learn how we can control people on top of society. The lack of power of the 99% to control a new upcoming 1% is the reason that all revolutions have failed to give the 99% more power. The political servants of the 1% are a little-bit controlled but the rest of the top, the 1% and their financial, industrial, military, etc. servants can do what they like. They are not disturbed by the 99%. They continue to amass money and power.
Activists should concentrate on getting power over the 1% so we get a better world without a greedy and selfish 1%.
Now they try (mostly unsuccessfully) to improve some bad decisions of the top and improve the life of the 99% only minimal. The 1% ruled, rule and continue to rule when there are no actions that target them.
We should start to use some of the ideas Marat advanced more than two hundred years ago:
“Patriotic Clubs (l call them Autonomous Clubs) will punish the agents of the authorities who are guilty and never be a club that is involved in the process of making decisions”.
“The People should control, veto or when necessary punish faulty leaders who violate the freedom and the well-being of the 99%”.
