93. Money rules the world. In our actions we should undermine the use of money by the selfish 1%.

A few thousand billionaires rule over nearly all money streams in the world, especially over the stream of money from the 99% to the 1%. The idea that money rules is not vague. Everything is judged on the money factor, the life of common people is not important in decisions.
The very rich 1% have the power to take decisions that favour their financial transactions. The influence of the 99% is secondary. Financial crises give the rich more money and the 99% many difficulties. The money stream to the 1% increases and the negative consequences for the 99% are not important.

There are many undisturbed dubious streams of money that increase the wealth of the top.
Via the drugs industry hundreds of billions of euro are whitewashed and then used by the 1%.
There are hardly laws against white-washing of this money.
Tax paradises prevent that the 1% have to pay taxes.
The weapons industry creates also a money stream towards the 1%.

The lack of taxes on dubious money means more money is available for the 1% and less for the 99%. Many billions are hidden in legal banks and invested in the industry and in other places where profits are made for the 1%. The 1% decide over the use of this money that lies far outside the world of the 99%.

The number of bankers that are imprisoned because of white-washing criminal and black money remains close to zero. The 1% are the profit takers. The power of the 1% is not restricted to the white market but they also control the black market. Huge sums of black money demand to be used in the white market. The 1% care for it that this money can be used. The 99% hardly profit.

It is more important to spend billions of euro on weapons that kill many 99% than to use this money to feed the many 99% who have not enough money to eat. Selling more weapons and earning more money stands central in this industry. It proves that money rules. That many 99% are damaged is again secondary. Hundreds of billions of euro are earned in this anti-human industry. The 99% have no influence at all. In all wars many millions of them have been killed and hardly any 1%. Money that continues to stream towards the 1% is more important than the life of the 99%. Drugs, weapons and tax paradises prove that money rules and not the well-being of common people.

In the coming revolution towards a world without a 1% the 99% should only use methods that damage the 1% and their servants. Money could be a factor. The 99% cannot use or possess the too expensive products that are wide-spread in the first world. It should also be made impossible for the 1% to use their surplus money to make their world still more extravagant. Products that only can be bought by too rich people should become a target in the struggle for a world in which all people have the same status and in which money does not rule anymore.

About Joost van Steenis

My latest book "How to make Revolution, developing the Fourth People's Power", can be downloaded for free from my site http://members.chello.nl/jsteenis. It contains new ideas how to take the money and power away from the most powerful people, the elite. It strives to get a new society in which not money is the pivotal point of all discussions but the idea that all people have the same status. New action means are introduced to reach this paradigm shift (a revolution) that concentrate on direct actions in the living sphere of the elite.
